A Tough Test for Training

Bridging Finance Solutions managing director, Steve Barber, has completed the Tough Mudder assault course, as part of his training for the next Chester Marathon.

Steve completed the course in good time working as part of a group to get through the grueling challenges, raising funds for Wirral based children’s charity, Claire House.

Steve said: “It was a fantastic day but true to form, it was – tough!! Some obstacles were trickier than others and I certainly had some achy ribs once id finished but it was a fantastic event that will help me with my marathon training and was a great opportunity to raise funds for Claire House.”

Steve took part in the Cheshire event along with hundreds of other Tough Mudders! The endurance event is some 10–12-mile-long and is made up of military-style obstacle courses. It was designed and created by a British Harvard Business School post graduate and a former corporate lawyer,  and tests mental as well as physical strength. The main principle of the Tough Mudder revolves around teamwork. Participants must commit to helping others complete the course, putting teammates before themselves, and overcoming fears
