Bridging Finance Solutions continues cricket sponsorship

At the L&DCC annual dinner , Bridging Finance Solutions confirmed that it is extending  its sponsorship until 2015, making it the longest standing sponsor in the Competition’s 182 year history. They have been title sponsors of the competition since Littlewoods stood down in 2006 and over the past six years, their contribution has provided essential funding to help maintain a high standard of cricket within the region.

The annual dinner took place at Bootle Cricket Club and was attended by over 350 players and club members. 15 trophies were presented by Graham Thorpe, MBE, who contributed to the evening with amusing anecdotes from his days as one of England’s finest international cricketers.

Commenting on the sponsorship Eric Hadfield, President of the Liverpool and District Cricket Competition, said: “The longstanding support and ongoing commitment of Bridging Finance Solutions provides us with much-needed financial security.  This enables us to deliver and plan with confidence to ensure that future generations will continue to enjoy cricket.  It has also meant that we have been able to invest in the sport at grass roots level.”

Steve Barber, Managing Director at Bridging Finance Solutions said: “As a Merseyside based company, we are keen to support our local community.  Sponsoring this competition is a fantastic way of making a positive contribution to the local sports scene.  My family has personally been involved with this competition for over 30 years so it is particularly rewarding to now be able to support them in this way.”
