Bridging Finance Solutions is very proud to support the Women in Finance Charter as part of our commitment to improve gender balance across the financial services sector where just 14% of executive positions are held by women.
Gender equality has been an important part of our operation since BFS was first established in 2006. Female influence has, without a doubt, helped to shape BFS; from our personal approach to the systems and processes we follow.
As an innovative and forward-thinking lender, female representation at a senior management level has always formed an important part of our strategy and will continue to do so moving forward. We are proud to have already achieved our 60% target for women in senior management positions and remain committed to maintaining this throughout 2020.
We wanted to acknowledge and demonstrate our commitment officially by signing the Women in Finance Charter and in 2019, we were delighted to become part of a wider group of businesses supporting this important initiative, which includes many of the country’s lending institutions and professional services firms.
About the Women in Finance Charter
- commits firms to supporting the progression of women into senior roles in the financial services sector by focusing on the executive pipeline and the mid-tier level;
- recognises the diversity of the sector and that firms will have different starting points – each firm should, therefore, set their own targets and implement the right strategy for their organisation; and
- requires firms to publicly report on progress to deliver against these internal targets to support the transparency and accountability needed to drive change
